Ssamjang Glazed Meatballs

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 cup white onion, minced
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Roland® Fine Sea Salt
  • 2 tbsp. Roland® Sesame Oil
  • 1 cup Roland® Ssamjang Paste
  • 1/3 cup cup honey
  • 1/4 cup cup water
  • 2 tbsp. Roland® Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Roland® Roasted White Sesame Seeds
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Using hands, quickly and gently mix the beef, pork, onion, ginger, eggs and Roland® Fine Sea Salt just until all ingredients are evenly-combined
  3. Moisten hands and roll meat mixture in between palms to create golf ball-sized balls (approximately one ounce). Preheat Roland® Sesame Oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium heat, and sear meatballs for 2 minutes on all sides.
  4. In a small bowl, combine all Roland® Ssamjang paste, Roland® Soy Sauce, honey and water. Using a basting brush spread the ssamjang mixture evenly over meatballs and transfer skillet to oven, baking for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove meatballs from oven, garnish with sliced green onions and Roland® Roasted White sesame seeds and serve. ©2015 Roland Foods, LLC
